NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's J.T. Rowe was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Wrestler of the Week Tuesday.

Rowe, a sophomore from Jacksonville, Ill., and Jacksonville High School, was unseeded at the Spartan Mat Classic on Saturday, but took first place at 133 pounds, recording two falls along the way. He knocked off No. 1 seed and returning national qualifier Tony Lawler of Heidelberg in the semifinals with a fall in one minute. Rowe went on to be named Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. He is an exercise science major.
