NCAA Announces Division III Track and field championships field

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The NCAA announced the field for the 2007 NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships as 24 student-athletes from College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) member schools will take part in the event at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.

The championships are scheduled for March 8-10, 2007.

Amber Druien from North Central will compete in the mile and the 800-meter run, while also competing in the distance medley relay with Jessica Griffin, Jen Bach and Amanda Laesch. Griffin and Laesch also qualified for the 5,000-meter run, while Megan Rossi and Racel Secrest will compete in the pole vault.

Millikin's Kapricia Poulos will take part in the high jump, while Augustana's Keli Coleman enters the championships in the 55-meter dash. Augustana's Theresa Suwannapal will take part in the 55-meter hurdles, while teammate Meghan Voiland qualified for the triple jump and pole vault.

Illinois Wesleyan's Rachel Anderson and MacKenzie Clemens will take part in the 400 and 800 respectively, while both will compete in the 4x400 relay with Brooke Halcott and Ali McCoy. Illinois Wesleyan's Courtney Walrath qualified for the pole vault.

On the men's side, North Central's Adam Pennington will take part in the men's 800-meter run, while Michael Bina and Adam Hahne will take part in the pole vault. Marc Holt will be taking part in the shot put.

Illinois Wesleyan's Segun Olopo and Matt Harden will compete in the 55 and 400 dash respectively, while both will join Mike Nicolliti and Azizuddin Rose in the 4x400 relay.

Brian McConnell of Elmhurst qualified for the indoor mile, while Ted McMillan from Augustana will compete in the high jump.
