Morris, schranck named cciw swimmers of the week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Jillian Morris of Wheaton and Stephen Schranck of Carthage were named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) swimmers of the week Wednesday after their performances during the past week of competition.
Schranck, a junior from Alton, Ill., and Marquette Catholic High School, won the 100 and 200 breaststroke and 200 Individual Medley in a 162-131 loss to Wabash College. Schranck broke his own Class of 1950 Natatorium record in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:09.17.
Morris (photo not available), a freshman from Stuart, Fla., and South Fork High School, won the 200 IM with a time of 2:14.1 and finished second in the 200 fly with a time of 2:16.6 in a dual meet with the University Chicago on Saturday. Both times were personal records.
