Outlook
On the women's side Wheaton is gunning for its ninth straight conference championship dating back to 1998. The Thunder have won 13 conference titles since the CCIW began sponsoring women's swimming starting with the 1987 season.
Katlin Marko is currently ranked in the top 20 in NCAA Division III in four different events including the 500 free (ninth), 1,650 free (fourth), 200 fly (seventh) and 400 I.M. (13th).
The CCIW has sponsored men's swimming since the conference began in 1947. The Wheaton men will also look to win another conference title after taking first in the last nine dating back to 1997. The Thunder have 24 titles all-time, while North Central has 21.
Several CCIW swimmers are ranked nationally in Division III, including Wheaton's Tyler Dobelbower who is ranked in the 100 back (third), 200 IM (first) and 200 back (fourth). Carthage's Steve Schrank is currently 19th in the 100 breastsroke and seventh in the 200 breaststroke and 400 I.M. Teammate Nate Chapman is fifth in the 200 back, while Zach Jole is fifth in the 100 breaststroke.
