Millikin Sweeps CCIW Swimmer of the Week Honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Katie Bass and Matt Melcher of Millikin earned College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) swimmer of the week recognition Tuesday after their performances during the previous week of competition.

Bass, a sophomore from Batavia, Ill., won the 200-meter freestyle and the 100-meter freestyle against MacMurray on Friday. She then won the 200 IM with a time of 2:27.34 (season best) and the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:14.62 against Augustana.

Melcher, a freshman from Geneseo, Ill., won the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:06.01 (season best) and 500 freestyle (5:23.57) against Augustana.
