Peterson Earns CCIW Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Evie Peterson of North Park was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after her performance during the previous week of competition.

Peterson, a sophomore from Eagan, Minn., was instrumental in the Vikings’ 65-55 victory over conference foe and defending national champion Millikin on Jan. 7. Peterson scored 19 points and recorded four rebounds and three steals in North Park’s upset win over the 22nd ranked Big Blue.

Peterson also played a key role in guarding Millikin’s Lindsey Ippel, holding the talented sophomore to 15 points after Ippel put up 70 points in three games prior to facing North Park.
