Ippel Named CCIW Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Lindsay Ippel of Millikin was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after her performance during the previous week of competition.
Ippel, a sophomore forward from Decatur, Ill., led Millikin in three games this week en route to being named all-tournament at Millikin’s Harriett Crannell Holiday Classic. Millikin went 2-1 on the week and Ippel led the Big Blue with 50 points (16.7), 18 rebounds (6.0), six blocks, a .665 field goal percentage (19-29) three steals, four assists and a .923 free throw percentage (12-13).
In the win over Blackburn, Ippel led Millikin with eight rebounds while adding 12 points on 6-7 shooting, three blocks, one assist and one steal in 25 minutes. In the win over Monmouth, she was nearly perfect from the field (9-11) and was perfect in all six free throw attempts in leading Millikin with 24 points. She also added six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal in 24 minutes. In the loss to Luther, Ippel led Millikin with 14 points and tied for the team-high with four rebounds. She converted 6-of-7 free throws and had one steal, one block and one assist in 30 minutes.
