Carthage's Wuest Earns CCIW Women's Basketball Player of the Week Honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Jenny Wuest of Carthage was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after her performance during the previous week of competition.

Carthage boosted its chances of making the CCIW Women’s Basketball Tournament with its 63-48 win over Millikin on Feb. 18. Wuest, a sophomore from Madison, Wis., scored a game-high 19 points on seven-of-12 field goals and five-of-six free throws in the Lady Reds’ win.

Carthage will make the tournament with a win over Wheaton on Wednesday, Feb. 22, or a Millikin win over Elmhurst.
