Wheaton's Fox Earns CCIW Women's Basketball Player of the Week Honors
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Elizabeth Fox of Wheaton was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after her performance during the previous week of competition.
Fox, a junior from Reno, Nev., led the Thunder to a pair of key CCIW victories last week, averaging 16.5 points, with eight rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
Wheaton defeated Augustana 59-43 on Tuesday night as Fox scored 15 points, with seven rebounds and four assists. On Saturday she helped lead the Thunder to a 63-49 win over the CCIW’s second-place team, Illinois Wesleyan. Fox scored 18 points with three assists against the Titans. She also added nine rebounds, including five offensive boards.
