Carthage's Wuest Named CCIW Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Jenny Wuest of Carthage was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after her performance during the previous week of competition.

Wuest, a sophomore from Madison, Wis., scored 17 points on six-of-11 field goals, along with six rebounds, as the Lady Reds stunned No. 10 Wheaton (Ill.), 63-56, on Jan. 31 at King Arena.

In addition, Wuest put forth a solid effort in the Lady Reds’ next game, scoring 12 points in a 63-44 home victory over conference foe Augustana on Feb. 4.
