NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Elmhurst’s Lyndsie Long was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday.
Long, a senior forward from Sugar Grove, Ill., and Kaneland High School, helped propel Elmhurst to a pair of conference road victories last week. She scored a game-high 25 points and a team-leading nine rebounds in the Bluejays’ 77-73 victory at North Park on Tuesday. She equaled her career-high in scoring by totaling 33 points in the Bluejays’ 81-73 win at Wheaton on Saturday. She added a game-high eight rebounds in the win over the Thunder. For the week, Long averaged 29 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting .529 (18-of-34) from the floor and .944 (17-of-18) from the foul line. She is a Physical Education major.
