Millikin’s Ippel Named CCIW Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Lindsay Ippel of Millikin was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after her performance during the previous week of competition.
Ippel, a senior forward from Decatur, Ill., and St. Teresa High School, scored a game-high 38 points in an 80-65 win over Augustana on Jan. 19. The 38 scored by Ippel gave her a career total of 1,725 points, becoming the first Millikin women’s basketball player to score 1,700 points in a career. Her 30-plus point effort was Ippel’s 13th of her career and fifth this season. Ippel also added seven rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal in 38 minutes. In a 64-58 win over Wheaton on Jan. 19, Ippel scored a team-high 24 points and also had eight rebounds, one assists, two blocks and one steal in 40 minutes.
