Elmhurst’s Long Named CCIW Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Lyndsie Long of Elmhurst was named College Conference of
Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after her performance during the previous week of competition.
Long, a sophomore forward from Sugar Grove, Ill., and Kaneland High School,
averaged 20 points and 9.5 rebounds per game over a two-game span last week. Long poured in a game-high 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while also recording three steals in the Bluejays’ 71-67 loss to Anderson on Dec. 11. On Saturday, Long shot seven-of-11 from the floor and scored 16 points while grabbing nine rebounds in the Elmhurst’s 92-60 win over Wisconsin Lutheran.
