Millikin's Ippel Named CCIW Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Lindsay Ippel of Millikin was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after her performance during the previous week of competition.

The first half of Millikin’s 64-59 loss to Carroll on Nov. 20 was a post-dominated effort, with Ippel, a senior center from Decatur, Ill., and St. Teresa High School, scoring 17 of the Big Blue’s 25 points. Ippel finished with a game-high 32 points which put her into the Big Blue record book again, wrapping up her ninth 30-plus point career game. As her career scoring and rebounding totals continue to improve, she’s just shy of 1,500 career points with 1,410 (No. 6 in Millikin history) and her 528 rebounds are No. 15 in Millikin history. Ippel finished the night with a game-high 13 rebounds and also added an assist, two blocks and a steal.
