illinois wesleyan to host ncaa Division III women's basketball regional

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Fresh off a 75-64 victory over Millikin in the championship of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Basketball Tournament, Illinois Wesleyan will host a first round NCAA Tournament game against Maryville (Mo.) at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 7.

Illinois Wesleyan won the regular season and tournament titles in the CCIW this season and are currently 25-2 overall (13-1 in CCIW play). Maryville comes into the tournament with a 24-3 record and a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title.

Manchester (19-8) will face Wisconsin-Whitewater (24-3) in the other regional game at 6 p.m. Friday at Illinois Wesleyan with the winners of the two games facing each other in the regional championship at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 8.
