North Park’s Williams Named CCIW Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Nick Williams of North Park was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after his performance during the previous week of competition.

Williams, a sophomore forward from Skokie, Ill., and Niles North High School, averaged 20.5 points per game in two CCIW contests last week. He scored a game-high 22 points in North Park’s 67-58 win over then No. 5 Augustana last Wednesday and he scored 13 of his game-high 19 points in the second half and helped North Park nearly erase a 13-point deficit in its 56-55 loss to Millikin Saturday night. In addition, Williams also averaged 3.5 rebounds per game and is sixth in the conference in scoring with a 16.1 points per game average.
