Elmhurst’s Burks Named CCIW Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Ryan Burks of Elmhurst was named College Conference of Illinois
& Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after his
performance during the previous week of competition.

Burks, a junior guard from Manito, Ill., and Midwest Central High School, matched his career-high with 29 points in the Bluejays’ 86-74 win over Mount St. Joseph on Saturday. The defending all-conference player shot 11-of-19 from the floor while also grabbing three rebounds and recording five assists and three steals in the win.
