Amelianovich Named CCIW Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Keelan Amelianovich of Illinois Wesleyan was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Tuesday after his performance during the previous week of competition.

Amelianovich, a senior from Naperville, Ill., was named the MVP of the Tom Byron Classic in Santa Barbara, Calif., as he helped the Titans to two wins and a 10-0 start to the season.

For the week Amelianovich averaged 24.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists. He connected on 57.6 percent of his shots from the field (19 of 33) and shot 60 percent from three-point range (9 of 15). He scored 24 points with seven rebounds and three steals in the 104-87 win over No. 5 Puget Sound, then had 25 in a 76-60 win over host school Westmont.
