Harrigan Takes Home CCIW Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Rick Harrigan of Augustana was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after his performance during the previous week of competition.

In three road games last week, Harrigan, a senior guard from Chicago, averaged 30 points in the three games, all wins for Augustana. He scored 25 in a 76-69 win at Rockford on December 5, and 27 in a 72-59 win at Coe on December 7. He then dropped 38 points on Concordia in a 75-58 triumph on December 10 in River Forest, Ill.

Harrigan shot .630 (34-54) from the floor, including .471 (8-17) from three point range and .737 (14-19) from the free throw line. He averaged 3.7 rebounds, had two assists and seven steals while averaging nearly 33 minutes of action. In the win at Concordia to close out the week, Harrigan was 14 of 20 from the floor and five of nine from three point range.
