Men's Basketball Second in NCAA Division III Attendance
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – During the 2005-06 men's basketball season, the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) achieved the second highest average attendance in NCAA Division III.
Finishing only second to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA), The CCIW finished with 81,401 fans in 2005-06 for an average of 866 per game. In addition, Illinois Wesleyan finished with the second highest attendance for NCAA Division III institutions as an average of 2,470 fans showed up to watch the Titans. Hope College of the MIAA finished first in attendance with an average of 2,928 fans per game.
As a conference, the CCIW finished third in men's basketball attendance during the 2003-04 and 2004-05 season, as well as second in 2002-03.
