Augustana Advances to championship in 74-67 win over North Central

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The 2007 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Basketball Tournament will have a new champion as host Augustana topped defending tournament champ North Central 74-67 on Friday in Rock Island.

Augustana was powered by a .500 shooting percentage as the Vikings finished 23-of-46 from the field. They shot even better from the three-point arc (.538), going 7-of-13. Jordan Delp was 2-of-3 from three-point range.

North Central did, however, win the rebounding battle 33-27.

Delp led all Augustana scorers with 15 points, while Drew Wessels had 14 for the Vikings. Dain Swetalla and Alex Washington each scored 10.

Dan Walton led North Central with 19, while Anthony Simmons had 15. Raymond Lawrence had 11, while Adam Krumtinger had 10.
