d3hoops.com names two cciw student-athletes to men's basketball preseason all-america team

NAPERVILLE, Ill.-- Two members of College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men's basketball teams were named preseason all-Americans by D3Hoops.com Tuesday.

Kent Raymond, a junior guard from Wheaton College and a native of New Palestine, Ind., was named a second team member while Brent Ruch, a junior center from Elmhurst College and a native of Farmer City, Ill., was named to the fourth team.

Raymond, a 6-3, 195-pound guard, led Wheaton in scoring with 22.4 points per game last season while averaging 34.6 minutes a game. Raymond was also tied for second on the team in steals (26) and pulled down 93 rebounds in 2006-07.

Ruch, a 6-9, 255-pound center, led the Bluejays in blocks (31) and was second in steals (32) last season while averaging 13.4 points in 24.5 minutes per game. Ruch also led the team in rebounding with 206 including 74 on the offensive end.
