USTFCCCA Announces All-Academic Team, 21 CCIW Student-athletes named
NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently announced its members of the Division III All-Academic team, as 21 student-athletes from College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) schools earned a spot among the elite group.
The men's team was comprised of 141 NCAA Division III student-athletes representing 52 colleges and universities. The women's team consisted of 183 student-athletes from 61 colleges and universities.
Six members of the Augustana men's team made the All-Academic squad, including Brad Holehan, Dillon Smith, Jay Watson, Jon Sebby, Mike Lucchetti and Ted McMillan. On the women's side, Augustana's Ainsley Fedler, Kali Minkler, Keli Coleman, Lindsey Homfeldt, Meghan Voiland and Theresa Suwannapal were named to the All-Academic team.
North Central's Leah Ruggirello, Megan Rossi, Rachael Young, Rachel Secrest and Samantha Garrison made the squad on the women's side, while the men's squad featured North Central's Adam Pennington, Brian Lesiewicz, John Lancaster and Marc Holt.
The USTFCCCA honors Division III individuals for their academic and athletic achievements during the outdoor track season.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, one must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 and obtain an NCAA qualifying mark in their respective event.
