CCIW Outdoor Track And Field
Three CCIW Track & Field Student-Athletes Earn National Champion Status
LISLE, Ill. -- Rachel Anderson of Illinois Wesleyan, Amber Druien of North Central and Shea'na Grigsby of Carthage were all honored as NCAA Track & Field National Champions Saturday by winning their respective events.
Druien took home titles in the 1,500 and 800-meter runs with times of 4:28.03 and 2:12.54 respectively. Anderson was champion in the 400-meter dash (54.98), while Grigsby was also a two-event champion, winning the 100 and 400-meter hurdles (14.06 & 1:00.30).
In addition, nine female student-athletes won all-American status with top eight finishes, while nine men were named all-Americans in eight different events.
