Augustana's Mullin named cciw men's tennis player of the week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Augustana's Chris Mullin was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Player of the Week Wednesday after his performance during the previous week of competition.

Mullin, a sophomore from Darien, Ill., and Downers Grove South High School, went 2-0 in a match with Wisconsin-Eau Claire over the weekend. At No. 1 doubles, Mullin teamed up with freshman Kyle Doyle (Maumee, Ohio/Anthony Wayne) to defeat Steve Lantz and Phil Loprinzi 9-7. Mullin also won his match at No. 2 singles over Lars Olson by a score of 6-2, 6-7 (7), 6-2.
