NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Carthage's Jack Schiro was named the inaugural College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Player of the Week Tuesday after his performance during the past weekend of competition.

Schiro, a sophomore from Shorewood, Wis., helped the Red Men sweep a double-dual match with Monmouth and Concordia (Wis.) on Saturday. Carthage won both matches
9-0. Schiro defeated Monmouth's Matt Moser 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, and teamed up with J.T. Delk at No. 2 doubles to win 8-6 over Moser and Ben Morrow. Against Concordia (Wis.), Schiro won at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-0 over Steven Anschutz, and at No. 2 doubles with an 8-0 victory over Justin Weber and Brad Shea.
