Two CCIW men's tennis teams advance to ncaa division iii championships

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Carthage and Wheaton will represent the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) this weekend in the 41-team NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship.

Carthage (14-8), the 2008 conference champion, will travel to St. Peter, Minn., and host Gustavus Adolphus College for a five-team regional, starting Friday, May 2. The Red Men will face Luther in a first-round match with the winner set to face Gustavus Adolphus in the second round on Saturday, May 3.

Wheaton (14-6) will participate in a five-team regional at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., on Friday, May 2. The Thunder will take on DePauw in the first round while other matches in the regional include Grinnell vs. Westminster (Mo.), with the winner facing top-seeded Washington University.
