Note: The CCIW Baseball Tournament moved to a single-elimination format on Saturday due to rain. An earlier proposal to play a consolation game on Sunday has been abandoned. Below is the updated schedule & results.

Outlook
The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Baseball Tournament will determine who earns the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Regional.

Carthage earned the right to host the tournament after storming through the regular season with a 19-2 conference record. The Red Men won their 13th CCIW title in school history, the first since 2003.

Two-time CCIW Pitcher of the Week Scott Evosevich was 5-0 with a 1.16 ERA during the conference season, while Bo Baitinger led the CCIW in runs scored (30) and was second in hits (36).

The Red Men face North Park at noon on Thursday, May 11, the fourth meeting of the season between the two teams. Carthage won all three of the previous meetings by scores of 11-1, 11-3 and 10-0.

The second game of the tournament features defending regular season and tournament champion Illinois Wesleyan (14-7) and Augustana (15-6) at approximately 3 p.m. Augustana took two of three against the Titans this season, splitting a double-header on April 22 (2, 6- 3, 1) while winning the third game 12-11 the next day.
