Chilczenkowski, Satkowski Named CCIW Baseball Players of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Nick Chilczenkowski of Illinois Wesleyan and Mark Satkowski of North Central were named baseball players of the week in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Tuesday after their performances during the previous week of competition.

Satkowski, a senior from Burbank, Ill., helped the Cardinals break a four-game losing streak by going all seven innings to improve to 4-2 on the mound in a 5-3 victory over Elmhurst. He scattered seven hits while fanning two and walking four.

Chilczenkowski, a senior from LaFox, Ill., batted .714 in helping Illinois Wesleyan to four wins, three in the CCIW, last week. He was 10-for-14 with 11 runs batted in, four doubles, a triple and a home run. His slugging percentage was 1.357 with a .722 on-base percentage. In addition, hee was 3-for-4 with four RBI in a 12-2 win over North Park on Saturday, April 29, and was 5-for-7 with three RBI in a doubleheader win over the Vikings on Friday, April 28. He also had four RBI with two doubles in a non-conference win over Maryville.
