Wulbecker, Dobosz Named CCIW Baseball Players of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Quinn Wulbecker of Wheaton and Dave Dobosz of Illinois Wesleyan were named baseball players of the week in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Tuesday after their performances during the previous week of competition.

Wulbecker, a senior infielder from Roselle, Ill., led Wheaton at the plate last week in the team’s trip to Arizona. Wulbecker was 10-for-16 with a .625 batting average, an on-base percentage of .700 and a .813 slugging percentage, with five RBI and five runs scored. Wulbecker also stole two bases, hit three doubles and drew four walks as he had a multi-hit performance in each of Wheaton’s four games last week.

Dobosz, a senior pitcher/infielder from Lombard, Ill., was instrumental in helping Illinois Wesleyan sweep Rose-Hulman over the weekend. Dobosz scattered four hits over six innings and allowed no runs in earning an 8-0 win on March 12.
