2019 USTFCCCA Women's All-Academic Individuals
NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Monday the 2019 All-Academic Track & Field Teams & Individuals.
Eight College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) women's and four CCIW men's programs were honored with all-academic distinction after finishing with a team grade-point average of 3.0 or better.
Also announced on Monday were the recipients of the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team as a total of 26 women and 20 men were named to the team. To qualify, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards: competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship; finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.
North Central's
Dhruvil Patel (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) was named the NCAA Division III National Outdoor Track Scholar Athlete of the Year, marking the second time Patel has won a Scholar Athlete of the Year award following indoor honors in 2018. He won his fifth and sixth individual national titles with first place finishes in the 5,000 and 10,000 at the Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in May.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2018-19 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,200 academic all-conference recipients, 18 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 43 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
