NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s Madelyn Scopp was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
  
Scopp, a sophomore from Kenosha, Wisconsin and St. Joseph Catholic High School (Psychology/Graphic Design major), helped lead the Cardinals to a first place finish at the Elmhurst Earlybird Invitational in the season opener on Friday. She placed first in the 4K with a time of 15:21.8 as she was one of five North Central runners to finish in the top 10. Scopp finished seventh at the CCIW Championship last season to earn all-conference honors.
