NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central all-American Dhruvil Patel was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Patel, a senior from Skokie, Illinois and Niles North High School (Accounting major), helped lead the Cardinals to a first place finish at the Elmhurst Earlybird Invitational in the season opener on Friday. He placed first in the 6K with a time of 18:46.4 as North Central finished with a perfect score of 15 points. Patel finished third at the NCAA Division III Championship last year as the Cardinals won their 18th national title in program history.
