Lexi Dimovski and Elmhurst’s
Kennedy Irmen were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Soccer Players of the Week on Tuesday.
Dimovski, a junior forward from Woodridge, Illinois and Downers Grove South High School (Actuarial Science major), was involved in all four of her team’s goals as the Cardinals finished 2-0-0 last week. On Wednesday, she scored two unassisted goals at 85:33 and 89:26, respectively, in a 2-0 shutout of Dubuque. On Sunday, Dimovski assisted on goals by Lauren Wille and Kacie Moran in a 2-0 win over UW-Whitewater.
Irmen, a senior defender from Schaumburg, Illinois and Schaumburg High School (Biology major), helped the Bluejays post a pair of shutout victories last week. Elmhurst limited Benedictine to just three total shots and only one shot on goal in a 3-0 win on Tuesday. On Saturday, Irmen and the Bluejay defense allowed Concordia (Wis.) just six shots and two shots on goal in a 2-0 win. For the season, the Elmhurst defense has allowed just one goal and only eight shots on goal.
