North Central's Washizu wins second CCIW Men's Golfer of the Week honor

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central's Hiromitsu Washizu was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Golfer of the Week for the second time this season on Tuesday.

Washizu, a sophomore from Funabashi, Chiba, Japan (Finance, Economics, Accounting major), earned medalist honors at the Hanover Invitational in Seymour, Indiana over the weekend. Following a first round score of 75 on Saturday, Washizu shot a career-best 3-under par 69 on Sunday to earn a four-shot win. Washizu was in third place following Saturday's round. His one day score on Sunday and his 36-hole score of 144 were both career bests.
