Three CCIW athletes named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team

2018 CoSIDA Academic All-District Women’s Basketball Team
 
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Three College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) student-athletes were named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women’s Basketball Team as announced Thursday.
 
Illinois Wesleyan senior guard Rebekah Ehresman (Gridley, Ill./El Paso-Gridley) was named to the Academic All-District First Team as an Accounting major with a 3.97 grade-point average (GPA). She averaged 10.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game this season.
 
Elmhurst senior forward Mikaela Eppard (Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek) was also named to the First Team as a Communication & Sciences Disorders major with a 3.92 GPA. She led the CCIW in both scoring (17.8) and rebounding (10.8) in 2017-18.
 
Augustana junior guard Izzy Anderson (Rock Island, Ill./Alleman Catholic) earned Second Team recognition as a Biology major with a 3.72 GPA. She led the Vikings in scoring (14.4), field goals made (121) and free throws made (92). Anderson also had a team-high in minutes played with 28.6 per game.
 
The 2018 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution.

During the 2016-17 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,900 academic all-conference recipients, 10 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 33 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, one CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year and over 100 all-Americans.
