Carroll's Marton, North Central's Janca named CCIW Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Carroll’s Grant Marton and North Central’s Nick Janca were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Marton, a junior from New Berlin, Wisconsin and New Berlin High School (Business Marketing major), won the 800-meter run at UW-Oshkosh’s Titan Challenge on Saturday. His time of 1:53.52 is ranked first in the conference, while his converted time of 1:51.92 is ranked third on the NCAA Division III national list.
 
Janca, a freshman from Oswego, Illinois and Oswego High School (Health Sciences major), finished second in the high jump at North Central’s F. Lee Slick Invitational on Friday. He finished with a height of 2.07 meters (6-9 ½), which was a personal best that is tied for second in the CCIW and tied for 10th nationally.
