NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s
Nolan McKenna and
Dylan Kuipers were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
McKenna, a junior from Wheaton, Illinois and Wheaton Warrenville South High School (Physical Education major), won the 3,000-meter run at Grand Valley State’s Bob Eubanks Open on Friday. His time of 8:31.22 ranks first in the CCIW and fifth on the NCAA Division III national list.
Kuipers, a senior from Elburn, Illinois and Kaneland High School (Behavioral Neuroscience & Psychology major), finished second in the pole vault at the Bob Eubanks Open, finishing with a height of 4.90 meters (16-0 ¾). His mark ranks second in the CCIW and third on the national list.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2016-17 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,900 academic all-conference recipients, 10 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 33 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, one CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year and over 100 all-Americans.
