Carthage's Szydlowski named CCIW Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Carthage’s Rachel Szydlowski was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
 
Szydlowski, a sophomore forward from Genoa City, Wisconsin and Wilmot Union High School (Biology major), helped lead the Lady Reds to a 2-0 record against CCIW competition last week. She scored a career-high 32 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field and added six rebounds, four assists, one block and a steal in a 106-95 win over North Central last Wednesday. She then totaled a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds in a 73-62 win over Augustana on Saturday. Szdlowski added four blocks and one steal against the Vikings.
