NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s Ben Williamson was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Wrestler of the Week on Wednesday.
 
Williamson, a sophomore from Naperville, Illinois and Naperville Central High School (Physical Education major), was 3-0 at 149 pounds during the Desert Duals on Monday in Las Vegas, Nevada. He beat Wartburg’s Blake Meyer by a 6-0 decision and Manchester’s Jordan Napier by an 8-1 decision. Williamson finished the day with a technical fall (19-0) over UW-Oshkosh’s Joe Pelkey. As a team, the Cardinals finished 2-1 with wins over Manchester (20-18) and UW-Oshkosh (27-15).
