NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) recently recognized three College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men’s soccer programs with the College Team Academic Award.
Illinois Wesleyan, coached by Kyle Schauls, made the list with a 3.05 team GPA, North Central, coached by Matt Klostermann, earned a 3.00 team GPA, and North Park, coached by John Born, earned a spot on the list with a 3.15 team GPA.
The NSCAA annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field. A total of 870 soccer teams (308 men, 560 women) posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA College Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2014-15 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,500 academic all-conference recipients, 19 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 46 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients and 102 all-Americans.
