CCIW announces 2015 All-Conference Women's Lacrosse Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its inaugural all-conference women's lacrosse team on Monday.

North Central junior attacker Gina Fisher (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) earned CCIW Offensive Player of the Year honors, while Augustana junior midfielder Kaylee Nolan (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) won the conference's defensive distinction. Carthage freshman midfielder Rachel Mussell (Mendota Heights, Minn./Convent of the Visitation) was named the CCIW Newcomer of the Year.

Augustana's Meredith Newman earned the CCIW Coach of the Year honor after leading the Vikings to the CCIW's regular season title in 2015.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2013-14 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,400 academic all-conference recipients, 14 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 33 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients and 87 all-Americans.
