NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s
Jack Burchett was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday.
Burchett, a senior forward from Mokena, Illinois and Providence Catholic High School (Accounting major), tallied a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds during the Cardinals’ 82-72 win over North Park on Saturday. It was Burchett’s sixth double-double of the season as he finished 8-of-14 shooting from the field and two blocks. The win clinched the fourth and final CCIW Tournament spot for North Central.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2013-14 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,400 academic all-conference recipients, 14 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 33 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients and 87 all-Americans.
