NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s
Zach Plank earned his second College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor of the season on Tuesday.
Plank, a junior from Dunlap, Illinois and Dunlap High School (Actuarial Science major), won the individual title in the Gold Division at the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday against mostly NCAA Division I competition. He finished the five-mile course with a time of 24:30.8 and became the third Cardinal runner to claim a first-place finish at Notre Dame in the last six years, joining Michael Spain (2010) and John Crain (2013).

During the 2014-15 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,500 academic all-conference recipients, 19 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 46 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients and 102 all-Americans.
