NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s
Jocelyn Redlinski and
Elizabeth Composto were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Tuesday.
Redlinski, a junior from Orchard Park, N.Y., and Orchard Park High School (Entrepreneurship major), finished third in the 60-meter hurdles at North Central’s Cardinal Classic on Saturday, clocking a varsity record and personal best time of 9.13. Her time was the best amongst the Division III runners at the meet and is currently ranked first in the CCIW and tied for 26th nationally.
Composto, a sophomore from Bloomington, Illinois and University High School (Interactive Studies major), won the pole vault with a lifetime best height of 12-6 ¼ (3.82 meters) at the Cardinal Classic and remains undefeated in the event this season. She currently leads the CCIW in this event and is ranked fourth nationally on the TFRRS list. She also ran a personal best time of 8.21 in the 60-meter dash prior to the pole vault competition.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2011-12 academic year, the CCIW honored 1,323 academic all-conference recipients, 16 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 1 CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year, 89 all-Americans and three national championship teams.
