NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) and the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) will play the first of two installments of a football scheduling agreement this weekend.
CCIW institutions will travel to the MIAA’s seven football playing schools while St. Norbert of the Midwest Conference will serve as the MIAA’s eighth institution for this scheduling agreement.
Games for 2014 will be played this Saturday as
Augustana will travel to Hope, Illinois Wesleyan to Albion, Wheaton to Kalamazoo, North Central to St. Norbert, Carthage to Adrian, Elmhurst to Olivet, North Park to Alma and Millikin to Trine.
The two conferences will conclude the agreement in 2015 as CCIW institutions will play host to the seven MIAA schools and St. Norbert.
CCIW commissioner Chris Martin and MIAA commissioner Dave Neilson randomly selected the matchups for 2014 based upon each team’s 2013 record, taking the top four teams, and the bottom four teams in each conference and randomly paired them together.
Next season, games will take place on September 12, 2015 and the pairings will be released after the conclusion of the 2014 season.
