NAPERVILLE, Ill. – A total of 12 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) student-athletes were named College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District members during the 2012 fall season. In addition, three of those student-athletes were named CoSIDA Academic All-Americans.
The three student-athletes who were named CoSIDA Academic All-Americans were Augustana women’s soccer player
Maggie Hoscheit (St. Charles, Ill./East), Illinois Wesleyan men’s soccer player
Danny Kenny (Wildwood, Mo./Lafayette) and Augustana football player
Erik Westerberg (Elmhurst, Ill./York).
To be nominated for the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games at the position listed on the nomination form (where applicable). No student-athlete is eligible until he/she has completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility. In the cases of transfers, graduate students and two-year college graduates, the student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution to be eligible.

Fall 2012 CoSIDA Honorees from the CCIW
The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2011-12 academic year, the CCIW honored 1,323 academic all-conference recipients, 16 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 1 CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year, 89 all-Americans and three national championship teams.
