NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) will conduct its fourth annual live chat with its head men’s and women’s basketball coaches on Wednesday, October 24 and Thursday, October 25.
Joining the women’s basketball chat will be Augustana’s Mark Beinborn, Carthage’s Tim Bernero, Elmhurst’s Tethnie Carrillo and Illinois Wesleyan’s Mia Smith from 9 to 9:30 a.m., followed by Millikin’s Lori Kerans, North Central’s Michelle Roof, North Park’s Amanda Reese and Wheaton’s Kent Madsen from 9:35 to 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24.
Joining the men’s basketball chat will be Augustana’s Grey Giovanine, Carthage’s Bosko Djurickovic, Elmhurst’s Mark Scherer and Illinois Wesleyan’s Ron Rose from 9 to 9:30 a.m., followed by Millikin’s Matt Nadelhoffer, North Central’s Todd Raridon, North Park’s Tom Slyder and Wheaton’s Mike Schauer from 9:35 to 10:05 a.m. on Thursday, October 25.
The CCIW preseason men’s and women’s basketball polls will be announced at the conclusion of each chat.
Media, fans and other followers of CCIW men’s and women’s basketball can join the chat by visiting the CCIW website on October 24 and 25. During the chat, participants will be able to ask questions of all 16 CCIW basketball coaches regarding the upcoming season.
The online chat will be conducted by CCIW Assistant Commissioner/Sports Information Director Mike Krizman and all questions will be screened before they are presented to the coaches. The coaches will try to answer as many questions from the audience as possible.
The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2011-12 academic year, the CCIW honored 1,323 academic all-conference recipients, 16 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 1 CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year, 89 all-Americans and three national championship teams.
