North Central sweeps men's track & field athlete of the week honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s Josh Winder and the 4x400-meter relay team of Mustapha Olaoye, Dionte Hackler, Dan Benton and Bai Kabba were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week Tuesday.

The relay team of freshman Mustapha Olaoye (South Holland, Ill./Thornwood/Undeclared), sophomore Dionte Hackler (Schaumburg, Ill./H.S./Psychology), senior Dan Benton (Westmont, Ill./H.S./Sport Management) and junior Bai Kabba (Batavia, Ill./H.S./Exercise Science) took first in the 4x400 at North Central’s Quadrangular on Saturday, clocking a time of 3:16.62. This time is currently tops in NCAA Division III.

Winder, a junior from Joliet, Ill., and Plainfield Central High School (Physical Education major), finished with a personal best of 17-4 ½ (5.30 meters) in the pole vault during North Central’s quad meet, finishing first. He is currently first on the NCAA Division III national list.
