NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Elmhurst’s Joe Rau was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Wrestler of the Week Tuesday.

Rau, a junior from Chicago, Ill., and St. Patrick High School (Business major), went 3-0 at the Border Brawl hosted by Wisconsin-Whitewater on Saturday. He moved up to 197 pounds against Wisconsin-Stevens Point and shutout Dustin Wozniak (8-0). He then beat eighth-ranked Sam Englelland (6-0) from Wisconsin-Oshkosh, followed by a victory over Wisconsin-Whitewater’s David Dwyer (2-1), both at 184 pounds. Earlier in the week, he defeated North Central’s Andrew Hiller at 184 pounds with a pin at 1:47, helping the Bluejays to a 34-11 dual meet victory.
